A US-based Mexican couple has converted to Islam after meeting one of the actors who played a supporting role in the hit Turkish tv series.
The couple met the actor, Celal Al, at a Muslim American Society (MAS) convention held in Los Angeles, USA. Celal Al plays the Kayi Alp, Abdurrahman, one of Ertuğrul’s trusted warriors.
According to the unnamed couple, “’We were affected by Turkish TV series ”Resurrection: Ertuğrul’’ and Turkey’s humanitarian activities around the world, and then decided to become Muslim,’’.
Celal Al was a guest at the convention which enables Muslims all over the US to meet.
Although the series, Diriliş: Ertuğrul (Resurrection: Ertuğrul), has ended, its sequel, Kuruluş Osman (Establishment: Osman) has just begun.
The Ertuğrul drama series told a historical drama of how the Turkish tribes settled into the Anatolia state while battling Mongols and Byzantines to establish their homeland. Ertuğrul was the father of Osman, who founded the Ottoman Caliphate. The series lasted five seasons from 2014- 2019.
Its sequel, Kuruluş Osman (Establishment: Osman) has only been aired in Turkey recently, with only a first few episodes of their first season. Fans of the show can watch the unofficial translation on YouTube or Facebook groups.
