The first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are so beloved to Allh in that He swears an oath by them when He says in the Quran: “By the dawn; by the ten nights” [al-Fajr 89:1-2].
Also because these are the days where there are thousands, and millions are headed towards the House of Allah, the Ka’abah, to perform al-hajj. the pilgrimage. These are the days where they struggle and sacrifice as much as they can for sake of Allah s.w.t.
Yet, this is another year for us all where only a few people can perform the hajj due to the Covid-19 restrictions. For Muslims, the hajj, as the fifth pillar of Islam. For the second time since last year, the hajj is only now privileged to those living in Saudi Arabia only, as a precaution to prevent the pandemic from spreading to the pilgrims. May Allah grant all of us the privilege to perform the hajj in the near future, InshaAllah.
