The words in the table are known as harf nasb simply because it makes the word that comes after it nasb. Any word that comes after those eight words will have a kasrah sign or nasb status. If you have no clue what a harf is, then take a look at our 5 minutes article on understanding harf .
An example would be innaAllaha the word Allah is nasb because of the word inna in front of it.Therefore the word Allah has to end with a fatah sign.
Of course the fatah sign only apply for words with ending sounds it does not apply words that have an ending combination as in the Muslimun chart which we will learn in the next lesson. The word Muslimaini which means 2 Muslims can either by nasb or jar as we learn earlier.
But when there is harf nasb in front of the word Muslimaini, that particular word can only be nasb. The possibility of it being both nasb and jarr is no longer there. Harf nasb also acts as confirmation that whatever word that is in front of it is nasb.
